Exploring themes of consciousness and quantum entanglement, PSYCHOPOMP is an emerging media exploration situated within the scope of Quantum Business, Arts, and Science for Society (Q-BASS), a research initiative developing ways to improve science communication through mixed-reality experiences.
Psycopomp is part of a University of Nebraska Grand Challenges Grant and collaboration between the Awareness Lab and the department of physics at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. It builds upon previous tAL projects and learnings from Quantum Sight and The Wilds and will become a location-based mixed reality experience, blending physical and digital realities in a constructed environment. Other art supplies include motion tracked lighting, spatial audio wearable and within the space. Experiments in sound to turn a basement into a standing wave. And other fun.
