The Awareness Lab (tAL) is an independent creative research studio producing artworks, experimental systems, and applied design frameworks at the intersection of contemplative science, emerging technology, and embodied experience.
Through collaborations across art, research, technology, and pedagogy, the studio investigates modes of perception, relationality, and awareness—developing work that moves fluidly between cultural, research, and real-world applications including projects intended for public deployment and commercially viable contexts.
Jesse R. Fleming is the founder and director of The Awareness Lab. An internationally exhibited artist and immersive technology designer, Fleming has built academic programs and research centers, taught internationally, and collaborates with organizations in the academic and private sectors on technologies for well-being.
